The Shah Commission is likely to undertake another visit to Goa to reconcile the finances of the mining companies.
Panaji: In a breather for the Goa government ahead of polls in 2012, the Justice MB Shah Commission set up by the Centre to look into illegal mining in several states including Goa will not be submitting its report on December 1 as was being anticipated.
According to Sources, the Shah Commission is likely to undertake another visit to Goa to reconcile the finances of the mining companies.
The sources further said that there was no date set for submission of report, as they could take some more time to compile report and arrive at recommendations.
There are as many as 90 to 100 mines operational in Goa.
The pollution control Board has already issued show cause notices to 55 of the mines in the state.
