New Delhi: US Secretary of State John Kerry who is in Delhi on a three-day visit met Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday morning.
Prior to his meeting with Jaitley, Kerry called on National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He is scheduled to co-chair the Indo-US Strategic Dialogue with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj later in the afternoon.
Kerry - who is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including officials from the Homeland Security and Commerce departments - will meeton PM Narendra Modi on Friday morning before his departure. His trip is expected to set the stage for Modi's visit to the US in September.
Earlier in the day, Kerry also visited the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Very exciting" and "excellent" were the words used by US Secretary of State John Kerry as he visited two laboratories at the prestigious institute and interacted with the students.
