Bangalore: Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yedyurappa has been shifted from Jayadeva hospital to Victoria hospital as the doctors attending to him said that he has high salt level in his blood and is suffering from stress related health problems.
CN Manjunath, Director, Jayadeva Hospital, said, "Yeddyurappa has got high salt level in his blood and depression, so we suggested the jail authorities that he should be shifted to Victoria hospital."
Yedyyurappa was shifted to hospital hours after he was arrested in two government land denotification cases on Saturday.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Karnataka High Court deferred the hearing of his bail plea to October 20.
It was expected that he will be heading to jail when he gets discharged from hospital, but he seems to have successfully avoided going back to jail for now.
