Maneka demands expulsion of BJP MLA accused of breaking horse's leg
Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has hit out at Joshi, saying action should be taken against him because he has brought bad name to the party.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Ganesh Joshi is facing criticism from within his own party for his alleged assault on a horse.

Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has hit out at Joshi, saying action should be taken against him because he has brought bad name to the party.

"He (Ganesh Joshi) has brought a bad name to the BJP and should be expelled," said Maneka Gandhi.

Joshi was caught on tape allegedly beating up a horse.

The BJP leader has, however, denied hitting the horse, claiming that he was hitting the ground. Joshi also said that he wasn't even at the spot when the horse fell down.

"If you look at the visuals you will see if I'm hitting the ground or the horse. The horse trampled on a party colleague of mine and he is now paralysed," he said.

"By the time the horse fell down, I wasn't even there on the scene, this is a fabricated story," Joshi added.
