New Delhi: On a campaign tour in Gujarat, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh criticised the Modi government saying one needs God's grace to survive under Modi's rule.
“The state government is trying to fool the people of Gujarat in the name of terrorism. Only those who are close to the government are safe. While the Centre is helping the state government carry out the development work, the government is involved in negative publicity,” he said.
However, lyricist Javed Akhtar says Modi’s critics have crossed the stage of allegations considering Narendra Modi has confessed to Sohrabuddin's murder.
“They have accepted this was not an encounter but police killed a man. Not a matter of someone’s opinion, there is a confession. Modi is now trying to justify a murder. We have requested a probe in to all the false encounters committed by Vanzara and how was Modi related to them. We have now crossed the stage of allegations as Modi has confessed that his police officers have committed a cold blooded murder,” he says.
