Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold a mega roadshow in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area on Wednesday. The 2.5-kilometre roadshow will go from Shreyas Cinema on LBS Marg to Gandhi Market at around 8 pm. During the event, the Prime Minister will campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party leader Mihir Kotecha, who is contesting from the Mumbai North East constituency in Lok Sabha Election 2024.
The Mumbai traffic police have made elaborate arrangements for commuters during PM’s event.
As per the advisory issued by the traffic police, the LBS road will remain closed for vehicles from Gandhi Nagar junction to Naupada junction from 2 pm to 10 pm.
The Mahul-Ghatkopar road will also remain shut from Meghraj junction to RB Kadam junction during the same time.
The vehicular traffic will therefore be diverted to the Eastern Express Highway, Western Express Highway, Andheri-Kurla Road, Saki Vihar Road, MIDC Central Road, Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Sion Bandra Link Road and Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link road (JVLR).
