SP Demands Apology From Yogi Adityanath for Allegedly Comparing Samajawadis to Terrorists
On the first day of budget session of the UP Assembly, CM Adityanath had condemned the unruly behaviour of Samajwadi Party members during the address of the Governor Ram Naik.

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) members created a ruckus in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Monday after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reportedly said that Samajwadis are 'terrorists'.

Speaking to News18, Samajwadi Party MLC, Sunil Singh Sajan said, "It is very unfortunate that CM Yogi Adityanath compared Samajwadi Party workers to terrorists. ...He should apologise for his remarks against SP".

"The chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is not aware of the glorious past of the Samajwadis and their significant contribution to the country's freedom struggle. Yogi Adityanath became CM by sitting in the lap of the RSS. Why doesn't RSS tell about how many of their members participated in the freedom struggle?" questioned Sajan.

Hitting out at the Narendra Modi-led government, Sajan also asked the Centre to clarify about the gun which was used by Nathu Ram Godse to assassinate Mahatma Gandhi belonged to which Math.

Demanding an apology from the chief minister, SP members raised slogans in the Assembly and also raised the issue of Dalit law student Dileep's murder case in Allahabad. Twenty-six-year-old Dileep succumbed to injuries in a hospital in Allahabad on Sunday two days after he was reportedly thrashed by a group with bricks and hockey sticks following an altercation outside a restaurant in the city. Following the incident, a video of the assault, caught on CCTV cameras, went viral on social media leading to the arrest of one of the accused.

The National President of Samajwadi Party and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav also demanded a compensation package of Rs 50 lakh for the family of the 26-year-old.

On the first day of budget session of the UP Assembly, CM Adityanath had condemned the unruly behaviour of Samajwadi Party members during the address of the Governor Ram Naik.

"The kind of behaviour and language used by Samajwadi Party people is not acceptable. They are actually trying to suppress the voice of the people by doing all this. We request the SP and the opposition not to behave like this, otherwise the people will teach them a lesson soon,” the CM had said.
