This comes two days after Vijay Bahuguna was sworn-in as the new CM, with Harish Rawat boycotting the ceremony.
Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Congress continued to remain in turmoil on Thursday as only 14 of the 32 party MLAs turned up to take oath as members of the House. The remaining 18 MLAs, who belong to the Harish Rawat faction, stayed away.
This comes two days after Vijay Bahuguna was sworn-in as the new Chief Minister of the state on Tuesday, with Rawat boycotting the ceremony.
Harish Rawat is peeved at being looked over as the Chief Minister and he has the support of a prominent leader, one time contender for the CM'S job, Harak Rawat.
According to reports, the Union Minister had also met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari.
