Apple Extends Its Mobile Payment Service to Web Browsers

Apple's mobile payment system can now be used for immobile online shopping too.

Announced at the company's World Wide Developers Conference on Monday, the new feature will let existing Apple Pay account holders use their i-Device to make and validate an online payment.

As well as increased simplicity -- there will be no need to keep typing in credit or debit card details -- the system will add an extra layer of security thanks to Touch ID (Apple's fingerprint reader).

The new feature will be initially available in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Singapore.
