Idea cellular has issued a statement in lieu of Delhi's poor air quality index that has been choking the NCR region. The company issued a statement that reads as follows.
“In view of the present weather condition and the poor air quality in Delhi NCR, Idea Cellular, which has operations facilities in Noida, looking after Delhi NCR and the UP West region, is taking all necessary steps in the interest of the health of its employees. Flexi timing is being enabled to convenience employees and face masks are being distributed to assist them in reducing their exposure to pollutants in the air. Special buses will be plied to pick and drop employees from key locations and car pools are being planned so that vehicular movement is reduced. These facilities have been enabled for this entire week.”

Due to poor air quality and rising air pollution the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday slammed the Delhi government and three other neighbouring states - Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan over its inaction to curb air pollution in the capital.
"Why weren't preventive steps taken to curb air pollution?" the green panel asked Delhi government.
NGT decided to knock on the doors of Supreme Court over the issue which has affected millions of Delhiites.
