The Taiwanese consumer electronics manufacturer HTC has launched the HTC 10 Evo with a big 5.5-inch Super LCD 3 display with quad HD resolution. Also, this is the first all-metal Android phone that has IPS7 water and dust resistance.
Dubbed as a sub-flagship phone, the handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The Evo packs HTC’s latest 16-megapixel camera with phase detection auto-focus and optical image stabilisation. Destined primarily for markets abroad, HTC launched the Evo at midnight.
HTC has also included new USB-C "adaptive earphones" with the device. One of the HTC 10's clever features allows you to set up a personalised audio profile, but this requires the user to listen to a bunch of tones and report back. The company says that the phone has 'pulse-pounding audio' that adapts to the unique structure of your own ears.
The Evo, however, packs lower specs that the flagship 10. It has 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, fingerprint sensor, 3,200mAh battery and 16-megapixel (f/2.0) primary camera with phase detection autofocus (sana the UltraPixels).
