New Delhi: Intex has launched a 4G new smartphone - Aqua Trend - in India. Priced at Rs 9,444, the new Android smartphone runs Android Lollipop 5.1 and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM.
It features a 5-inch HD IPS display, 13 megapixel rear camera, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The Intex Aqua Trend has internal storage space of 16 GB.
The smartphone comes with a 1-year screen breakage warranty and a complementary smart or sensor-based flip cover. The Aqua trend is available in four colours - Champagne, Silver, Grey and Black. The new 4G phone from Intex is packed with a 3000 mAh battery.
The company has also roped in Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu as its brand ambassador for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Intex says to invest Rs 300 crore towards promotional programmes of its mobile phones and other products, aiming to double revenues to Rs 8000 crore this fiscal.
The company has four manufacturing facilities and expects to roll out smartphones from its Greater Noida plant in the next three to four months.
