Apple has started work on iOS 17.3 update for iPhone users since early December and many expect the new release to be coming out in January 2024. The iOS 17.2 update was one of the more important releases in recent times, and all focus is now shifting towards the next version, not only for the developers but iPhone users as well. Going by the early look of the iOS 17.3 beta, you shouldn’t expect a significant number of features and Apple might just focus on the improvements possible for the existing issues and bugs.
iOS 17.3 Update: These Features Coming For iPhone Users
iPhone Protection Against Stolen Security
The company is working on the iOS 17.3 beta version which has a new feature called Stolen Device Protection which builds an extra layer of security in case your iPhone is pick-pocketed. The biggest security leverage that iPhone users will get after the next iOS 17 update is the use of Face ID or Touch ID authentication to allow anyone else to access your data or even reset the device.
Apple is taking the security level one step further by blocking a stranger’s access to your iCloud stored password which can have confidential details like bank pass codes and PIN number for your cards that help with quick one-access payments. Apple has always talked highly about its security, and this tool could prove it once again for iPhone users.
Apple Music Collaborative Playlist
As the name suggests, Apple Music users will have the option to jam in with friends, get them to add their favourite tracks, or even remove the less popular ones. The feature was part of the iOS 17.2 beta version but Apple decided to remove them for some reason.
These are the two features that we can confidently say will be offered with the iOS 17.3 update and in the coming weeks we expect Apple to disclose more features and improvements that will be part of the beta 2 and beta 3 versions.
