Microsoft is helping people find the errors made by AI and also fix them. But how is the company doing it? Surprise, surprise, using AI. Yes, we’re not getting into a work play but highlighting what Microsoft has created in order to fix an issue started by the technology itself.
The company is ironically called the feature correction and the AI tech will use the available source material to determine the accuracy of the content, identify the mistakes and fix them as well.
Microsoft’s AI Correction Features: Who Can Use It And How
Microsoft is bringing the feature to its customers using the Azure AI suite. The feature is able to automatically identify the mistakes and correct them to avoid any major lapses. The tool is part of the Azure AI Studio which is responsible for taking care of any issues caused by inaccurate content produced by AI.
The weird thing is that Microsoft is not confident about letting AI fix its own mistakes and the accuracy range can still be hard to quantify, which means corrections can itself be prone to making errors. The feature is not available to the regular users but even then we’re finding it hard to see the value of the AI feature which may not be entirely correct all the time.
Trusting AI?
The company is banking heavily on the demand for AI tools and it even has the hardware to run these features in the market. The new Copilot Plus lineup of Windows PCs are gradually making their way to the consumers, with both Qualcomm and Intel involved in the race to become the choice of the AI PC brand.
Google’s AI journey has been a mixed bag but it is vital that companies learn from their mistakes and make sure they don’t happen in the future. Microsoft itself had a blemish in the form of Recall AI which was later paused to fix the privacy issues that could have made things worse for the company.
