Sheezan Khan has had an eventful year so far. From getting legally involved to staying in custody after the Tunisha Sharma suicide case, the actor faced a difficult time. Although his performance was widely acclaimed, he had to quit the show Alibaba Dastaan-E-Kabul, in which he starred opposite Tunisha. While the actor participated in a reality show and played a small role in a daily soap, his fans were eager to see him back on screen as the lead. As per the latest reports, Sheezan Khan is being considered to play the lead in the new show on Star Plus.
According to a report by Tellychakkar, the new show is being produced by Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Mittal, and they have considered Shezan Khan for the pivotal role. While not much is known about the show, reports claim that it will air on Star Plus. Shashi Sumeet Productions is known for some of their successful shows, like Meet Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet, Punar Vivah among others. The report also mentions that the production house will soon make an official announcement for the same, and more information regarding the new show will come to light with respect to the storyline, title and other cast members.
Earlier this year, Sheezan Khan participated in the stunt-based reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. After that, he also joined the cast of Chand Jalne Laga. But he left the show soon, citing that although he was taken in as a parallel lead on the show, the story reduced him to just another character. He had told ETimes, “As an actor, the factors governing my choices include substantial screen time and a performance-oriented role.”
Sheezan Khan dominated headlines for quite some time following the suicide of actress Tunisha Sharma. They appeared in the SAB TV show Ali Baba- Dastaan-e- Kabul together. On December 24, 2022, Tunisha was discovered hanging in the makeup room on the set. Following this, he was arrested as Tunisha’s mother accused him of abeting suicide. Reportedly, the two actors were in a relationship and broke up just 15 days before the latter’s death. Later in March, he was released on bail and allowed to travel to Cape Town for the shoot of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Sheezan Khan has been part of some popular TV series including Jodha Akbar, Chandra Nandini, Tara From Satara among others.
