Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Shailesh Lodha has joined the grand inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The actor-politician who attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22 has “no words” to explain the celebratory moment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been following multiple sacred rituals ahead of the consecration day. The temple premises will open its gates to the public on January 27. Notable dignitaries and members of the film fraternity were invited to mark their presence at the inauguration event. Shailesh Lodha was one among them.
Sharing a picture of himself on Instagram against the backdrop of the Ram Mandir, Shailesh Lodha wrote, “Shabd nahi hai mere paas… iss shann ke vyakkha hetu. Jai Shree Ram (I have no words to describe this moment. Jai Shree Ram).” The actor donned a traditional ensemble for the event which comprised a white kurta. A black-printed shawl was wrapped around his neck. He also sported black sunglasses and flashed his beaming smile for the click. In the backdrop, the Ram Mandir was seen adorned with vibrant flowers. The invitees were seen seated on chairs outside the temple premises.

Earlier, Shailesh Lodha dropped another picture on Instagram with actor Arun Govil and actress Dipika Chikhlia. Both of them starred in the highly-acclaimed 1987 television soap opera Ramayan, directed by Ramanand Sagar. While Arun Govil essayed the character of Ram, Dipika Chikhlia played his on-screen wife Sita. They were among the high-profile guests at the Pran Pratishtha function. Sharing the same frame with the Ramayana stars, Shailesh Lodha wrote, “Ram Siya Ram… Siya-Ram Jai Jai Ram.” Arun Govil was decked up in a red-printed ethnic coat while Dipika Chikhlia was clad in a rustic-bronze-hued saree and wore golden jewellery. Shailesh Lodha donned a white pullover that he teamed with black trousers and a saffron scarf.

Apart from Shailesh Lodha, other esteemed guests at the Ram Mandir include former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Presidents Ram Nath Kovind and Pratibha Patil, and ISRO chairperson S Somanath. Indian cricket icons like Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, and Virat Kohli were also invited. From the entertainment industry, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif, and Kangana Ranaut also made it to the guest list.
