‘A True Companion’: Faithful Dog Chases Ambulance Carrying Owner To Hospital

A video of a dog chasing an ambulance carrying his ill owner has gone viral on social media. When an ambulance worker noticed the dog, he allowed the animal inside. This moving incident demonstrated the bond between the dog and his owner. According to Dagens.com, the incident took place in Tunja, Colombia.

The owner of the dog named Tono, Alejandro, fell ill and required hospitalisation. The loyal dog refused to abandon him. Demonstrating unwavering dedication, the dog managed to escape from the house and pursued Alejandro as he was being transported in an ambulance from Villa de Leyva to Tunja, a distance of approximately 40 kilometres.

The ambulance team forgot to close the house’s door, allowing the dog to exit and run after the vehicle. During that time, a passing motorbike rider spotted the determined dog sprinting down the road.

The motorcyclist, who had captured the heartwarming moment on camera, informed the ambulance staff by signalling them to stop. The dog was then allowed to join Alejandro in the ambulance, reuniting the duo.

Within hours of being posted, the clip garnered over 5 million views. “A dog was running after the ambulance that was carrying their owner. When the EMS realized it, he was let in,” the caption to the video reads.
