You’ve probably heard about the quirky practice of serving ice cream on sweetened bread or rolling it into slices of bread. But have you ever stumbled upon the audacious concept of ice cream finding its home in a Pav, toasted to perfection in copious amounts of butter? Get ready, as a video showcasing this outlandish duo—not involving ice cream but our beloved Kulfi—stuffed into a buttery Pav has made its way to the internet, triggering a ‘meltdown’ of disgust.
Say goodbye to your buttery Pav Bhaji plans because this peculiar culinary concoction is about to send your taste buds on a rollercoaster.

The video, shared on ‘X’ by the user @MFuturewala, unfolds as a street vendor liberally showers a large tava with butter and proceeds to freeze the Pav on it, mimicking the process used for Pav Bhaji or Vada Pav. The twist lies in the fact that none of the traditional classics is featured within the Pav; instead, it hosts a slice of Kulfi—an item usually savored on a stick, leaf, or plate. However, thanks to the trend of tossing everything into anything, we now have this buttery, salty-sweet combo that may not be on everyone’s gastronomic bucket list.

The comment section was a comedic goldmine, with one user hilariously stating, “Wow…what a waste of taste.” Another cheekily added, “Thank God they didn’t add an omlette with chocolate syrup in it….” while a third sarcastically pondered, “Who will put mayonnaise cheese and dhaniya.”
In a previous culinary ‘mishap’, someone dared to introduce Pav to Surat’s famous ‘Locho.’ An Instagram video documented this unconventional twist, starting with a drizzle of mayonnaise on one side of the Pav and a lavish spread of chutney on the other. The unexpected move involved swapping out the classic Vada for a spoonful of Locho topped with an additional layer of sauce, cheese, and sev.

Truly, in the midst of all these unconventional additions, one can’t help but wonder: did anyone actually request these wild experiments?
