We often come through many strange news regarding space. Many people claim that aliens exist, while some people deny the fact. Several space agencies have been trying to find life in other plans but no such proof is found. Recently, news regarding some unusual signals from space was widely spread on the internet creating a massive buzz among people. Some unusual intermittent radio signal from space was received from space recently which has surprised astronomers around the world.
According to a report by The Conversation.com, astronomers have recently detected some unusual radio waves. The astronomers claimed that they haven’t seen such signals to date. This report has flashed curiosity and fear among people. The astronomers stated that the signals are surprising as each cycle of the intermittent signal lasts for around an hour.
The report further stated that these strange signals sometimes resemble a long tune while sometimes it appears as a bright flash. The reports read, “In the first state, we see bright, linearly (rather than circularly) polarised pulses lasting for 10 to 50 seconds. In the second state, the circularly polarised pulses are much weaker, lasting only about 370 milliseconds while the third state is a quiet or quenched state, with no pulses at all.” Similar patterns of waves were seen in the case of neutron stars, but as per our current understanding of neutron stars, the waves from neutron stars should not take such a long period,” the report added.
The report further stated that the signal’s origin with such a long timespan remains a mystery. The astronomers are suspecting that the signals are coming from a slow-spinning neutron star.
Recently, an international team led by NASA discovered a new planet, around 40 light years away from the Earth. The planet has a size and atmosphere similar to Earth. The discovery was made with the help of the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS).
