Tech Mogul Bryan Johnson Says Plasma Therapy Made His Father Biologically Younger
He said that after his father took one litre of his plasma, his biological clock slowed by twenty-five years for six months.

A tech entrepreneur, who has been at the forefront of making ageing a thing of the past, has said that plasma therapy made his father biologically young again. While sharing the details on social media, Bryan Johnson said that for his father, who is 71 years old, one litre of his plasma has actually helped to decrease the biological age by 25 years.

Johnson recently posted on X that he successfully underwent the first total plasma exchange (TPE) – a procedure where all the plasma in his body was replaced with Albumin to get rid of toxins. Johnson said this is not the same as last year when he took one litre of it and replaced it with plasma from Talmage Johnson, his “blood boy”, who later donated his plasma to his father.

He said that after his father took one litre of his plasma, his biological clock slowed by 25 years for six months. It remains uncertain whether this was due to the plasma, or the removal process, but the changes were evident.

The TPE operator said that it was shocking to see Johnson’s plasma was cleaner than any other he had seen, and he believed one could use it for therapies such as PRP therapy. Johnson spoke of the likelihood of selling or donating it in the future to others who need it as he called it “liquid gold”.

What is TPE?

Total Plasma Exchange, as its name suggests, is about the replacement of a patient’s plasma with a substitute fluid, in the case at hand, albumin. This procedure is frequently employed in regenerative surgery for the treatment of many diseases.

Bryan Johnson follows a rigorous regimen called ‘Project Blueprint’, which includes:

Currently spending roughly $2 million per annum on medical diagnostic and treatment options.

Staying vegan and having a rigorous exercise regime.

Consuming over 100 supplements daily and being checked by a team of over 30 doctors occasionally.

Johnson earlier shot to fame for an eccentric blood exchange with his teenage son in a procedure that he called the “world’s first multigenerational plasma exchange.” However, this latest procedure shows a deviation from this approach, which only seeks to extract his own plasma.

As much as Bryan Johnson’s claims have created intrigue, they have also raised eyebrows.

“Why is replacing blood plasma with albumin a good idea? Frankly, it sounds like a terrible idea”, read a comment.

Another user asked, “Why bother replacing the plasma if he says it’s the cleanest he’s ever seen? Why get rid of the immunoglobulins, cytokines, coagulation factors etc?”

Yet another user went on to ask, “Why don’t you keep transferring it to your dad if it was so beneficial? Is it too risky or something?”

The post has garnered over 6 million views.
