Microsoft Windows customers worldwide, including India, Germany, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and others, reported a blue screen on their computers on Friday. Several organisations claimed that a recent CrowdStrike upgrade was to blame for this incident. CrowdStrike, a cyber-security business, stated that the problem was created by an upgrade to their antivirus software, which is intended to defend Microsoft Windows gadgets from harmful attacks. Amidst the worldwide IT disruption, a previous interview featuring Steve Jobs, former Apple CEO, asserting that Microsoft produces “third-rate products” became widely circulated.
Steve Jobs claimed in an interview with tech journalist Bob Cringely that, “The only problems with Microsoft is that they have no taste… they have absolutely no taste. I don’t mean that in a small way… I mean that in a big way.”
The late Apple boss continued by saying that they [Microsoft] don’t consider new ideas or include much culture into their products. Steve Jobs reaffirmed that he had no “problem with their success” and that it makes no difference.
According to what he said, the inspiration for “proportionally-spaced fonts” comes from typesetting and exquisite books. Jobs claimed that Microsoft would never have it in its products if it weren’t for the Mac.
“And so, I guess I am saddened,” Steve Jobs can be heard saying in a viral clip.
Steve Jobs clarified that while he does not find conglomerate’s success to be “saddened” for and believes they have “earned it,” he took issue with the fact that they only produce “really third-rate products.”

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and has more than 5,000 views.
However, the majority of the comments section did not agree with Jobs’ opinion.
A user stated, “Microsoft is many things but not a 3rd class product maker. 80 percent market share doesn’t comes by making 3rd class products. One small mistake doesn’t define a company.”

In the meanwhile, the worldwide outage on Friday exposed the software’s reliance and caused major problems for media outlets, banks, hospitals, airlines and IT organisations worldwide.
