This Barber Using Fire To Cut Hair Is The Ultimate Khatron Ke Khiladi; Watch

A video of a hairstylist using a flame torch and a simple comb for a haircut is going viral. The undated video shows the skilled barber, giving a sleek haircut to a man who seemed unfazed by the use of flame on his hair. Neither the barber nor his customer wore any protective gear. A video of this unique haircutting technique has gathered over 34,000 likes on X. It was captioned, “Barbers will do anything but cut hair these days.” While many people were amused with the barber’s skills, others deemed it unnecessary and dangerous.

Commenting on it, an X user wrote, “I’d be upset if i went to the barber shop and came back smelling like a roasted goat.” Another person questioned, “What’s wrong with just using a pair of hair scissors or clippers?”

However, a few people noted that using fire to cut hair is not that unusual. Making this point, an X user wrote, “When I was in Kirkuk we had a barber who would light a little stick on fire and slap it against our ears and sideburns to singe all the little hairs off. It was kinda scary at first but it never hurt at all.”

Another person wrote, “Look, I’m not even sure if this dude is doing it right. BUT, using fire to cut hair is actually not all that unusual. My grandfather was a barber and used to do this. But with a candle, not a blowtorch. And only if the hair “needed” it (like lots of split ends).”

Using fire to cut or style hair has been in trend for quite some time. However, not all ‘fire haircuts’ go well. Back in October 2022, an 18-year-old man got severe burn injuries after his “fire haircut” went wrong. The incident took place at a salon in Vapi town of Gujarat’s Valsad district. The man suffered burn injuries on his neck and chest. He was taken to a hospital immediately and later referred to the Civil Hospital in Valsad.

Investigating officer Karamsinh Makwana told PTI, “We are trying to get the statement of the victim. He was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Valsad. We have learnt that from there he was taken to a hospital in Surat.”
