Kristen Lammert, a 35-year-old from South Carolina, has four daughters who all share the same birthday, an event that seems highly unlikely. She became a mother for the 4th time on August 25, with her child Valentina. Her other three daughters are Sophia (9-year-old), Giuliana (6-year-old) and Mia (3-year-old). The most surprising thing is that the four of them are not twins, but still they share their birthday on the same date. Kristen calls it an exclusive coincidence. She shares that the birthday of her dog was on August 25, after 10 years her first daughter Sophia was born, which they thought was special. As more children were born, each subsequent child arrived earlier than the last. She finds this pattern surprising and somewhat difficult to understand, underscoring the unusual nature of these early arrivals. According to Kristen Lammert, the odds of having four daughters on the same day is 1 in a billion.
In an interview, Dr Megan Gray, an OB-GYN at the hospital where Kristen initially gave birth, cites that it is not very common at all. She added that, even if someone plans for their children to be born on a specific date, it would be very challenging. Dr Gray finds it surprising that Kristen Lammert has delivered children naturally, without any planning, on the same day and years apart.
Originally, Valentina, their last daughter, was expected to be born on September 25. Both Lammert and her husband, Nick Lammert, decided not to inform their three daughters who were all born in Florida before the family moved to South Carolina, about the upcoming arrival of a new sister until April, due to tensions about possible abnormalities with the unborn baby.
Kristen also explains that they ended up having to do a lot of extra testing, and everything turned out fine. She and her husband decided not to inform their children about the new baby to avoid upsetting them. When they finally shared the news, Sophia expressed hope that the baby would be born on her birthday. Kristen, however, gently warned Sophia that it was unlikely, given that the baby was expected to arrive more than a month earlier than her actual date. Fast forward a few months and Kristen was getting through her last day of work on August 23, while starting her computer, her vision started to get blurry. When taken to the hospital, the doctor immediately wanted to deliver her baby as she had Preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication that led to high blood pressure and organ failure.
Kristen and Nick realised on August 24, that their newborn daughter could be born on August 25.
