A video that shows a game of baseball getting interrupted after one perfect shot ends up hitting the police car is raking in likes on Instagram. The video shows a group playing baseball in a field when one powerful shot throws the ball off the ground’s perimeters and ends up hitting a police car that is moving across the road. Once the ball hits the police car, the car starts its siren. It is unclear if the ball damaged the car by breaking through its window or caused a dent in it. The coincidence of the ball striking a moving car makes this video very interesting.

It is unclear when and where this video was taken or how the police responded to it. The video was posted on Instagram on March 3. It was simply captioned, “What a shot!” So far, it has over 9,500 likes. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “Haha I was waiting for those lights to come on and they delivered.” Another person joked, “He shouldn’t have been driving there, he was asking for it really.”

This is not the only video that shows a ball hitting a moving police vehicle. Back in June 2021, a similar video went viral that showed a young man playing golf outside his house and accidentally striking a police car that was passing through his house. In the video, the man instantly appeared regretful after hitting the cop car, while the person who was recording his video breaks into a laugh. Both of them ran inside their house.

This incident took place at the University Boulevard in Tuscaloosa, a city in Alabama, USA. This video first went viral on TikTok but soon began circulating across social media. According to Tuscaloosa Thread, the ball hit a University of Alabama Police Department (UAPD) car.

The man who hit the car was identified as Patrick Carley. Carley told Tuscaloosa Thread that he was trying to shoot golf balls to his neighbour’s yard as a fun game when it struck a police vehicle. The next day, Carley was served a misconduct ticket by a police officer who came to his house. A spokesperson from the University of Alabama Police Department said that Carley was not charged with any crimes and the police car was undamaged.
