Viral Funeral Vlog Receives Backlash On Internet
A child’s voiceover in the background reveals that the person who died was someone from his father’s friend’s house.

Nowadays, people tend to view everything as content to gain the most online attention. Who knew that someone’s funeral would be seen simply as content for social media? One such viral video would make you question the intentions of your closest ones.

The video was shared on Instagram by an account called @krackjoke. Unsurprisingly, the clip is receiving a lot of criticism from the netizens for being unfeeling, as it is made around someone’s funeral. And the saddest thing about it is that a child is the creator of the video.

The child’s voiceover in the background reveals that the person who died was someone from his father’s friend’s house. While he is detailing the unfortunate passing, the clip showcases all the comings and goings of a funeral. It shows how the people are engaged in praying and mourning the deceased. The kid reveals that he is experiencing something like this for the first time, so he feels “sad”. Then continues to state that we all have to die one day. It is shared with the caption, “Content mil gaya isko (He got content),” tagged with a skull emoji, to show how despicable the whole thing is.

Netizens are sharing their shock and anger at such an unthinkable clip in the comment section below. The first user expressed, “Kya ho gya hai logon ko ab Marne pr bhi nhi chhod rhe kisiko (What happened to people, they are not even leaving anyone in death). Another user says, “Sab duae padh rahe the or tu kya karra h bhai (Everyone is praying what are you doing brother?). A third user wrote, “Ye bana raha hai sharam mujhe arahi hai (He is making the video and I am ashamed).”

Such a video amassing likes and views clearly indicates that our society is heading towards dangerous times. Normalising this behaviour is the last thing we want for our generation and the next. So, teaching the young ones to be considerate of people’s feelings should be prioritised by parents.

What's your reaction?
