Watch: Mother Bear And Her Cubs Steal Bag Of Chips From A Car

A mother bear was caught on camera jumping into a car and stealing a bag of chips in Bartlett, New Hampshire. Her partners in crime were none other than her cubs. A video wherein the bear gets inside the car through a taped window and comes out carrying chips is fast becoming popular on social media.

The video was shared by ABC affiliate WMUR-TV on their YouTube channel.

After picking up chips from the vehicle, the mother bear went back to her cubs. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said that bears are “opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available."

Although this specific bear did not create any problems for anyone, other than the car owner having to purchase a new bag of chips, there have been cases where individuals have encountered more serious issues.

For instance, in this old video, a bear snaps and assaults its handler during a circus act.

The handler yanked on the wild animal’s snout, causing it to lash out in aggression. After another member of the circus crew intervened, the bear was struck and brought under control. The audience fled the arena in terror.

This incident reportedly happened in the northwest Russian town of Olonets in 2019. In an act known as Clubfoot and the Garden Wheelbarrow, the imprisoned bear was pushing a wheelbarrow during that particular performance.
