The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has once again showcased its commitment to passenger safety and well-being. A recent incident at Prayagraj Junction in Uttar Pradesh has highlighted the exceptional bravery and quick decision-making of RPF official Sanjay Kumar Rawat.

On Sunday (April 14), assistant sub-inspector Sanjay Kumar Rawat of RPF demonstrated remarkable courage by rescuing an elderly man who had slipped while trying to board a moving passenger train. His swift action prevented a potential disaster and earned him recognition on social media.

According to a report in Times Of India, the man got off the train that was heading to Bikaner from Guwahati to purchase lunch at the station. The train arrived at Prayagraj station at 11:18 am, and as per schedule, it departed at 11:35 am after receiving a green signal.

As the train started moving, the 63-year-old man, realising he was left behind, tried to board it while it was already in motion. Reportedly, he grasped the handle of the AC coach but lost his balance in the attempt. The swift RPF assistant sub-inspector Rawat, observing the situation, immediately intervened. Using all his strength, he pulled Sajjan Kumar back from the moving train, hence preventing him from falling into the dangerous gap between the platform and the train.
