Watch: Toddler ‘Chugs Beer’ At Football Game In Texas, Internet Slams Parents

A video of a toddler seemingly chugging beer while her mother sat beside her has gone viral. The unusual scene unfolded during a Texas football game at the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin. The footage was perhaps recorded by a fan seated right behind the toddler.

When the match was underway, the young girl was seen taking three substantial sips from what appeared to be a can of Michelob Ultra.

Her brother, who was in the adjacent seat, was seen drinking water from a bottle. When all of these were going on, the mother of the two children seemed to be lost in her own world. The footage was first shared on TikTok before surfacing on other social media platforms.

An American investor, Collin Rugg, dropped the video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Toddler caught throwing back a beer at the University of Texas football game over the weekend. The child, who appears to be about 4, was seen chugging a Michelob ULTRA. Her mother appeared to be completely oblivious to what was going on.”

The toddler could have been recognised as a fan of the Texas Longhorns as her face was painted white, one of the iconic colours of the team. Her mother perhaps asked the girl to hold the beer can. By the time she could take it back, her child had already finished the entire drink, according to the person who initially shared the video on TikTok.

Many internet users slammed the mother for being oblivious to her daughter’s illegal activity. One of them commented, “Shame on the mom for not noticing the kid is drinking her beer but shame on the people just recording rather than saying something so the child doesn’t chug a beer also.”

Another person feels it was not the first time the young girl was experiencing alcohol. “Any normal child would have spit it out as soon as they tasted it,” he added.

Echoing the same sentiment, a user wondered how the “kid likes the taste of beer.”

“The kid would have gotten a better buzz from a Coca-Cola. Michelob Ultra is like water. She’ll be fine,” claimed an individual.

Almost every football stadium in the USA sells alcohol inside the venue. The tradition started at the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in 2015. However, only fans above 21 years of age are allowed to buy drinks in any stadium in Texas.
