‘What’s This Behaviour?’ Russian Vlogger Shares Ordeal At Delhi Airport

It doesn’t take much to go viral on the internet these days. Social media has also become a place where people look for partners. One Russian woman named Dinara did the same. She is an influencer with about 78,000 followers. She is an avid traveller and absolutely loves India. Such is the love for the country that she is looking for an Indian groom to get married to. In the digital world, people go the extra lengths to get attention. Things turned weird and “inappropriate” after her video of looking for an Indian groom went viral. In a video, the internet sensation shared an incident where a passport control officer wrote his number on her ticket and asked her to call him. She shared this on her Instagram account and said, “A passport control officer has written down his phone number on my ticket and told me that the next time I come to India, ‘contact me’. Arey yaar, what is this behaviour huh?”

The text read, “I’m shocked. Are you serious? The passport control officer at Delhi Airport wanted me to call him. Her caption read, “Was his behaviour appropriate?” The comment section was enraged and her fans showed her support. An user wrote, “It’s inappropriate. The officer on duty should not behave like this for personal reasons. Very unethical. Sorry, you have to go through this.” Another commented, “This is not appropriate behaviour and proper legal action shall be taken against him. We apologise for his behaviour.” A few defended the officer, sharing that it was a cultural thing in South East Asia of overly being nice to foreigners, which is often misinterpreted as creepy behaviour.

The video has received more than 2.9 million views on Instagram. In a previous video, Dinara was seen travelling in Pune. The video depicts her visiting a bus stand and pasting the QR scan code of her social media profile. The caption read, “Are you looking for one?” The in-text read, “Looking for an Indian husband.”
