'Father Let 72 Men Rape My Mother': Frenchman's Daughter Fears She Was Next, Says He Kept Her Lingerie Photos

French man Dominique Pelicot, who invited over 72 strangers to rape his drugged wife over the course of 10 years, also clicked pictures of his daughter, as a grown woman, in her underwear. Dominique’s daughter, Caroline Darian, broke down as the court learnt the said pictures were recovered from Dominique’s phone and computer, along with pictures of his wife.

It was also revealed that Dominique had filmed his daughter in a compromising position in 2013. He saved the clips and photos under the filename ‘My Daughter Naked’, the court was told.

‘I was His Second Prey’: Caroline Darian

Police also found two pictures of a young woman sleeping on her left side, wearing beige knickers, in bed. “Zoomed in on her bottom”. Caroline was able to identify herself in the picture with the help of a birthmark. One of the pictures was taken in her own home. “I was his second prey,” she said.

‘I Never Touched My Daughter’: Dominique Pelicot

Upon being asked if he was sexually attracted to his daughter, Dominique said, “She’s not my type. She’s much younger than I am used to.” He further added, “I never touched my daughter.”

The court heard that Dominique recruited strangers from all walks of life on web forums to rape his wife after he drugged her with powerful tranquillisers. He saved the videos detailing her abuse under file names such as ‘Her Rapists’, ‘Abuse’ and ‘My Slut’.

According to The Telegraph report, Dominique’s daughter, Caroline said his father “always had money problems” but he didn’t profit from her mother’s assault. “He purely did it for his pleasure,” Caroline said.

Dominique consumed Viagra and tested himself for HIV. Sometimes he would forbid men who raped his wife in a drugged state from wearing a condom.

The case would not have come to notice if Dominique had not been arrested for taking photographs up the skirts of female supermarket shoppers. Commissioner Jerome Bosse Platiere said that France’s most harrowing rape case initially started as a routine voyeurism investigation.

However, the direction shifted dramatically when an SD card was discovered containing a photo of the unconscious victim, naked and wearing a garter belt.

Upon searching the Pelicots’ retirement chalet in the village of Mazan, police found approximately 20,000 images documenting the wife being assaulted by 72 different men.

The rapes happened between 2011 and 2020.
