Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, and known for being Queen Elizabeth II’s ‘favourite grandson’ has split from his long-term girlfriend Lindsay Wallace, 43.
The pair’s romance reportedly ‘ran its course’ after three years and they are no longer in a relationship. Peter Philips, who is worth $20 million, is 18th in line to the throne. He also has two young children with Autumn Kelly, 45, the woman he was previously married to – Savannah, 13, and Isla, 12.
Lindsay Wallace is also the mother to two kids she shares with her businessman ex-husband Andrew. They were married for 11 years.
People familiar with the developments told UK-based newspaper The Sun that despite breaking up Phillips and Wallace are on amicable terms. Their relationship kicked off in 2021 and the couple broke up after displaying three years of “rock-solid” union.
“They were friends before their relationship blossomed. But Peter and Lindsay have gone their separate ways as the relationship simply ran its course,” the person mentioned above told The Sun.
“Peter and Lindsay made the difficult decision to separate as they were spending less time together with work and family commitments. Peter’s business commitments and work in F1 meant he has been away and travelling non stop,” the aforementioned person further added.
Peter Phillips is the Queen’s eldest grandchild and first-born son of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Philips. He does not receive money from the sovereign grant and is a businessman and is currently the managing director of a boutique sports management company, SEL UK, the Independent said in a separate report.
His net worth was reported to be around £15.7 million (roughly $20 million) in 2022.
Rumours were flying that the two would tie the knot because Phillips introduced her to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, at Windsor Castle. They both also attended many royal events, including the Wimbledon championships, Ascot races, and the Coronation concert last year.
Wallace was also classmates with Phillips’ sister Zara Tindall, 42, at Gordonstoun School in Scotland. Royal insiders at the time said that the couple being seen together at these events were a “clear sign Lindsay had been welcomed into the family”, leading to conversations of a wedding.
