10 WWE Superstars That Could Make Their Return/Debut at WrestleMania XL

WreWWE’s WrestleMania XL is just around the corner and wrestling fans all over the globe will be tuned in to see the biggest superstars duke it out in their respective matches and make their mark in the biggest wrestling event ever. However, one of the things that is most anticipated during the event is when some big-name superstars make their return, either from a long injury spell or even from another company altogether. Here is our top-10 list of the superstars that could make their return/debut at WrestleMania XL.

Carmella

The former Smackdown Women’s Champion has been out of action since she took a break to become a mother. She took an extended break to fully recover from her pregnancy and could give a pop amongst the crowds if she were to make her long-awaited return to the company.

Sheamus

The Celtic Warrior has been out of action since August 2023 when he competed with Edge but picked up a shoulder injury which kept him out of action since. A feud could be in the cards as he is yet to win the Intercontinental title and a feud with Gunther could be something the British fans thrive on.

Matt Cardona

Formerly known as Zack Ryder could make for an interesting WrestleMania moment. The superstar had to recreate himself following his previous stint with the company and has gone around through various organisations most notably, Impact and AEW where he garnered a lot of reputation.

Alexa Bliss

Much like Carmella, Bliss also took an extended break to become a mother and the former champion took to social media to reveal that she is back in the gym looking to get fit for a return and what better way to do so than in WWE’s biggest event. Her return could give the female roster a much-needed shakeup to make things more interesting.

Uncle Howdy aka Taylor Rotunda

Taylor Rotunda, the brother of the late Windham Rotunda (aka Bray Wyatt) could make a sensational return in a new persona which pays tribute to his brother which could be a phenomenal storyline that lights up the crowd. Ever since the passing of Bray, Taylor remains employed with the company and even teased a potential return with a new avatar, ‘Uncle Howdy’

Tama Tonga

Another potential addition to the Bloodline and even feuds with former Bullet Club members like AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Cody Rhodes as well with the former Never Openweight Champion being reported to be linked to the WWE. He could be a very interesting addition to the roster.

Santana

After a five-year stint with AEW, the tag-team specialist is now riding solo after an epic feud with Ortiz which was released by the company. He could be an interesting addition to the Latino members of the WWE and even bring in something completely different compared to the current members. A feud with Andrade, a new member of LWO, there are some interesting possibilities.

Matt Hardy

It was seven years ago that the Hardy Boyz made their emphatic return to the WWE which was one the biggest WrestleMania moments in history and the return of the senior Hardy could be on the cards with the veteran’s deal with AEW ending.

Braun Strowman

The Monster Among Men has been out of action since May 2023 and could be set for a big return, to say the least. The company has not had a giant presence like him for quite some time now and a win at the Andre the Giant Battle Royale could be on the cards.

Goldust

What more can be said? Protecting Cody Rhodes from the wrath of the Bloodline, a twist which could put him in the tag team match-up vs Roman Reigns and The Rock. The Rhodes Family vs Anoaʻi Family. This could be a juicy matchup which can really get the fans in together for an epic WrestleMania moment.

Maybe it could be someone who is not even included in the list. But that is what makes such returns more interesting and a memorable moment keeping into account the various storylines that could take place.
