Ford India has launched a new variant of the EcoSport SUV in India, called as the Ford EcoSport SE. This new variant has been priced at Rs 10.49 lakh for the petrol engine option and Rs 10.99 lakh for the diesel engine option (all prices ex-showroom). The Ford EcoSport SE is essentially identical to the EcoSport models that are sold in the American and European markets where it does not come with a rear-mounted spare wheel. Other changes include a new dual-tone rear bumper with a silver-finished faux skid plate. Ford also says that the EcoSport SE will come with an easy to use puncture kit that will enable owners to repair tyre damage within minutes, without the hassle of removing the tyre from its slot.
The EcoSport SE will come in the Titanium Trim which means the SUV will come with things like Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, along with Ford Pass app integration.
The EcoSport SE will be offered with the choice of a 1.5-litre three-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine that delivers segment-best 122 PS of power and 149 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine that has delivers 100 PS of power and 215 Nm of torque.
