To offer a seamless driving expirence to all commuters, the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) stretch now has been given a new exit point near Crossings Republik township. The decision has been taken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), allowing the public to have the full benefit of the expressway.
The recent development will benefit all the commuters who are travelling from UP Gate towards Meerut. They now will be able to enjoy an easy commute, all thanks to a second exit on the DME after the Indirapuram one.
Estimated Cost
The expressway also gets a new entry point on the opposite side, uplifting the overall expirence on the highway. It has been reported that the recent development on DME comes under the authority’s project taken by the management at an estimated cost of Rs 9.5 crore.
Here’s What Official Says
As per the details shared by HT, quoting one of the officials who said, “The new exit has been opened just opposite to the entry that was opened on April 27. For commuters travelling from UP Gate towards Meerut, this will be the second exit (after Indirapuram) on the DME. Commuters travelling to Crossings Republik, Greater Noida West, etc, can use this exit and easily move to their respective areas.”
“Vehicles can now easily get to NH-9 and take expressway lanes with the help of new entry and they can exit the expressway using the new exit while going from Delhi to Ghaziabad,” the official quoted above said,” the official added.
Entry From NH-9
Officials also informed that there is no provision for entries of vehicles from NH-9 to the expressway near Crossings Republik. This will not only reduce the risk but also contribute to clearing incoming traffic.
