After creating a buzz in the Indian market, the tech-load 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny finally started receiving an overwhelming response from the international market as well. The vehicle has made a successful entry into the Australian market, offering high-level safety features including ADAS and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
Maruti Suzuki Jimny XL in Australia
The latest model, which is known as Jimnny XL has been positioned one step higher, leaving behind the Indian model in terms of features. Apart from offering ADAS and AEB, the vehicle also gets some of the top-rated safety features as standard including airbags as standard, ABS with, ESC and traction control.
Features
It also has adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, weaving alert and high-beam assist, employing extra sensors and cameras in the vehicle. The report says that the inclusion of such high-level advanced features has been added to comply country’s local safety norms.
Power and Engine
When it comes to the engine and power, it continues to feature the same 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol unit. However, it has been tuned, generating less output as compared to the Indian model. The powerhouse is mated with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic.
