Being one of the best selling cars in the American brand's portfolio in India, Ford EcoSport has now officially teased the upcoming variants ahead of its launch. Ford took to its Instagram handle to share the two new variants on offer. Sharing the post, the company wrote two is always better than one and further informed that the variant Ford EcoSport SE will be coming soon, which is a different avatar of Ford EcoSport S. The SE variant will come with the international spec tailgate design, however, the company has not disclosed any details regarding the S variant yet.
According to the post made by Ford, it can be said that the EcoSport SE is similar to the S model. The variant is likely to be launched by next week.The SE variant is expected to sit below Titanium trim and will come with a huge price tag. Till now, Ecosport is sold in 5 variants including Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Sports and Titanium Plus AT.
Here are some of the details regarding EcoSport SE variant:
Engine: The SE variant is expected to come with a choice between 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines. Maximum power of 120 bhp with 149 Nm of peak torque is being generated by the petrol power plant and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The diesel engine puts out 99 bhp with 215 Nm and is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Design: Look-wise, the SE variant appears a bit refreshing and gets the same tail lamp design and a chrome slat just above the number plate holder. Also, a silver faux skid plate has been attached to the lower half of the bumper.
Feature: The features of the SE variant include alloy wheels, roof rails, rear wiper with washer, high mounted stop lamp and many more.
Price: Currently, the Ford Ecosport starts from Rs 7.99 lakhs ex-showroom and the price of the top-end variant can cost you about Rs 11.49 lakhs ex-showroom.
