'India Can Go All The Way Unbeaten': World Cup-winning Legend Makes Bold Prediction
Vivian Richards urged unbeaten India to stay positive and attack at all costs and believe they can win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

India will be keen to remain unbeaten at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and head into the semi-finals stage of the tournament full of momentum when they face the Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

India have taken all before them so far at the World Cup, having rarely been troubled on their way to eight wins from eight matches

Two-time World Cup winner Sir Vivian Richards urged unbeaten India to stay positive and attack at all costs as they attempt to win a third title. Richards, who helped the West Indies to World Cup triumphs in 1975 and 1979, wants to see India continue to play to their strengths and avoid any negative thoughts as they strive to stay unbeaten and add to their previous titles in 1983 and 2011.

“India have a mindset that they can go all the way playing like this,” Richards said on his column for the ICC.

“That absolutely should be their mindset and would be mine if I was in that dressing room – let’s go out with all guns blazing. That approach has worked so far and if that changes, things may go astray.

“I believe they can go all the way unbeaten, which is really something to strive for. There may be some fears of ‘we have played so well so far, there may be a bad game around the corner in the semi-final’. They have to try and nullify those and banish any negative thoughts.”

It looks like a clash between David and Goliath with the Netherlands languishing at the bottom of the standings, but it would be unwise for the tournament hosts to underestimate the Dutch.

The talented Netherlands, the only non-test-playing nation in the tournament, outfit showed they are up to the class as they sprang an upset on semi-finalists South Africa and also beat Bangladesh to register two wins at a World Cup tournament for the first time.
