The recently-released trailer of Pankaj Tripathi’s upcoming film Main Atal Hoon delves into significant events from the life of the late former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The trailer highlights pivotal moments including Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination, Atal Bihari’s early political challenges, opposition to Indira Gandhi during the Emergency, involvement in the Babri Masjid demolition, the Pokhran nuclear test, and the Kargil War. The trailer is described as portraying Atal Bihari Vajpayee beyond his roles as a poet, statesman, and Prime Minister. It begins with Pankaj Tripathi aka Vajpayee watching a film, emphasising the influence of media on public perception. Directed by Ravi Jadhav and written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav, Main Atal Hoon is produced by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios. The film features a cast including Piyush Mishra, Raja Rameshkumar Sevak, Daya Shankar Pandey, Pramod Pathak, Paayal Kapoor Nair, Harshad Kumar, Prasanna Ketkar, Haresh Khatri, Paula McGlynn, and Gauri Sukhtankar. Scheduled for a theatrical release on January 19.
Before the trailer launch on Tuesday, Pankaj Tripathi shared a video of himself travelling on the recently-inaugurated Atal Setu in Maharashtra. Accompanied by students from the DAV School, where Atal Bihari Vajpayee attended, the video captures the actor’s connection to the significant bridge and the late former Prime Minister’s alma mater.
