Indian Railways Allots A Raksha Bandhan Special Train From Prayagraj To Delhi

If you went home to celebrate the Raksha Bandhan festival and are unable to get tickets for the return journey, then there is no need to worry. Indian Railways has decided to run a superfast Raksha Bandhan Holiday special train Prayagraj – Delhi for the return journey from many cities including Prayagraj. This train will run from August 20. Passengers can book tickets at their convenience.

According to the Public Relations Officer of Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway, it has been decided to run 04145/04146 Prayagraj – Delhi Superfast Raksha Bandhan Holiday Train. It will have general coaches, sleeper coaches and AC coaches.

Train number 02418 will depart from Prayagraj on August 20 and depart from Delhi on August 21.

Train number 04145 will depart from Prayagraj on August 21 and train number 04146 will depart from Delhi on August 22. This train will reach Delhi via Fatehpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Tundla and Aligarh.

Besides, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will keep additional standby trains ready to cater for the rush of passengers on Raksha Bandhan festival on Monday, a statement said.

“To facilitate passengers on the festival of Raksha Bandhan on Monday i.e, on 19th August 2024, Delhi Metro will be ready with additional standby trains on its corridors for induction into services to cater for the rush if required,” the DMRC said.

The DMRC will also deploy additional personnel at stations to cater to the extra rush of commuters by operating additional ticket counters, it said.
