ONGC claims at least three wells drilled by the RIL on the boundary of the KG-D6 block are within a few hundred metres of its gas fields.
New Delhi: State-owned oil and gas major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has moved the Delhi High Court against Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries. The ONGC has accused the RIL of exploiting substantial gas from its natural gas block.
The two companies have been involved in a face-off for the last several months over whether RIL took out gas from ONGC's gas blocks in the Krishna Godavari basin.
ONGC claims at least three wells drilled by the RIL on the boundary of the KG-D6 block are within a few hundred metres of its gas fields. ONGC has said that the fields are connected and that the RIL is drawing out its gas.
The RIL has dismissed the allegations.
