Fans love the pictures of their favourite actors when they were not stars as it gives them a glimpse of their real, normal selves. An old photo of a South star is making headlines on the internet which is reported to be from his college days.
An old picture that is going viral online features the Tamil actor Karthi. The photo shows him with his friends, as they sit in a bus, posing for the camera. According to the reports, the picture is from the actor’s college days.
Karthi was recently seen in the film Japan. The film is directed by Raju Murugan and also features Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, Vijay Milton and Jithan Ramesh. It is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu, while the music composer in the film is GV Prakash Kumar.
In an interview, he talked about the film, revealing that he was the one who approached the director first. He said, “I have always liked his work. We haven’t seen the kind of stories he has brought to the screen. His characters are different, and I wanted to be one of them.”
Karthi also talked about him being an actor in the same interview, “I neither joined the field by accident nor was I forced into it. I am here by my own will. I don’t want to compromise on what I like.”
Karthi made his debut in acting with the film Paruthiveeran in 2007. It was directed by Ameer and also featured Priyamani as the female protagonist. Karthi is a recipient of three Filmfare Awards South and Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. He has appeared in hits like the Ponniyin Selvan franchise, Kaithi and Kadaikutty Singam, Oopiri, Kaithi, Thambi, Naan Mahaan Alla, and a lot more. Karthi is the son of veteran actor Sivakumar and the brother of actor Suriya.
