Lyca Productions Partners With This Company For Extensive Tamil Nadu Release Of Lal Salaam

Film director Aishwarya Rajinikanth is all geared up for her upcoming release Lal Salaam. Written and directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film stars Vishnu Vishal and Thalapathy Vijay’s cousin and actor Vikranth in the leading roles. Touted to be a sports drama, the film is produced by Lyca Productions.

Recently, Lyca Productions revealed the film’s distribution partner with an announcement: “LAL SALAAM is set for a grand theatrical release throughout Tamil Nadu in collaboration with @RedGiantMovies.”

The film’s shooting has wrapped up and it is currently in the post-production phase. A recent announcement revealed that actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin’s production company, Red Giant Movies, will oversee the extensive distribution of the film in Tamil Nadu. This company has a track record of distributing numerous blockbuster films, such as Beast and Varisu featuring Thalapathy Vijay, Vikram starring Kamal Haasan, Thunivu with Ajith Kumar, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: I and Ponniyin Selvan: II, as well as the recent Tamil release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

Anticipated for a Pongal release next year, the movie features a cameo appearance by superstar Rajinikanth. This film represents Rajinikanth’s first foray into a project produced by his daughter, setting it apart from his earlier collaboration with his younger daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, in the 2014 3D animated period film Kochadaiiyaan: The Legend.

The movie’s musical score will be composed by AR Rahman. In December of the previous year, AR Rahman shared a video of himself playing the harmonium with Aishwarya observing closely.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the director, has previously directed two feature films. Her debut was in 2012 with the movie 3, a co-directorial effort with her now-separated husband, Dhanush. Following that, in 2015, she directed Vai Raja Vai. Furthermore, there is speculation that cricket legend Kapil Dev will make a cameo appearance in the film.

Talking about Rajinikanth’s upcoming projects, the actor is currently occupied with TJ Gnanavel Raja’s film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. This project features a remarkable cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dussara Vijayan. It’s worth noting that the first shooting schedule for the film in Kerala recently wrapped up.

Rajinikanth will also team up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for his standalone film, Thalaivar 171, under the banner of Sun Pictures.
