After the release of RRR, Ram Charan has been actively involved in his highly anticipated film, Game Changer. Directed by S Shankar, the movie marks Shankar’s Telugu directorial debut and is a grand production that combines Charan’s talent with Shankar’s ambitious vision. The film, however, has faced multiple postponements due to the director’s simultaneous work on Kamal Haasan’s project, Indian 2.
In September, Cine Josh reported a development that Dil Raju, the film’s producer, was considering a strategy to split Game Changer into two parts. This approach aimed to effectively manage the substantial production costs associated with the ambitious project. According to the report, a significant portion of the production had been completed, and releasing the film in two parts was seen as a way to recoup costs with the first instalment and generate profits with the second. However, the report also mentioned that the proposal was still under discussion, and no official decision had been made.
In October, another media portal, English Tupaki, debunked the rumour, clarifying that there was no official comment or confirmation from the makers. Despite Shankar’s reputation for grand canvases, trusted sources revealed that the rumour had no basis in reality.
Game Changer’s first single, Jaragandi, was initially scheduled for release on November 12. However, Sri Venkateswara Creations, the production house, announced on Twitter that the song’s release was postponed due to ‘unavoidable audio documentation issues between different firms.

The action drama is set against the backdrop of contemporary politics, with reports suggesting that Ram Charan will portray the role of an IAS officer, with Kiara Advani as his lead pair. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Sreekanth, Sunil, and Naveen Chandra in pivotal roles. As of now, the film is targeting a release in 2025.
