Tristan Stubbs smashed Luke Wood for five fours and one six – 26 runs – in one over during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday.

Stubbs stayed not out Stubbs unbeaten on 48 from just 25 balls. In the end, it was another score over 250 in IPL 2024 as DC posted a mammoth score of 257/4 in their 20 overs – which is their highest score in the competition.
Having put into batting first, DC started aggressively with Jake Fraser-McGurk scoring a blistering 84 off just 27 balls.
Abishek Porel (36) and Rishabh Pant (29) played impressive knocks through the middle at a quick rate. Shai Hope sustained the momentum given by Fraser-McGurk’s brutal onslaught and hammered 41 off just 17 balls with five sixes. Tristan Stubbs continued his good form and made 48 runs off just 25 to end the innings.
In the end, it was another score over 250 in IPL 2024 as DC posted a mammoth score of 257/4 in their 20 overs – which is their highest score in the competition.
Jasprit Bumrah and Piyush Chawla were the pick of the MI bowlers as they went for less than 10 runs to the over and took a wicket each. Wood and Mohammad Nabi were the other wicket-takers but it was an off day overall for the bowling MI department.
