How to Find Airyn in Date Everything
Airyn can be found as a gust of air blowing from the house’s vents. Airyn isn’t the thermostat herself, but you’ll have to interact with it to find her! Before even looking for Airyn, go to the thermostat (located in the downstairs front hallway) with your Dateviators off. Adjust the thermostat’s temperature settings to cold, then explore the house and check each vent for Airyn’s telltale gust of air. Airyn won’t appear at one location consistently; she can appear at seven different vents found throughout the house, so keep checking them until you see her. You can get hints on how to find Airyn from both Phoenicia and Rongomaiwhenua! The thermostat has two settings: hot and cold. When it’s set to cold, the screen has a blue background with an image of a chilly thermometer and a snowflake.
Airyn may not appear the same day you adjust the temperature. If you don’t see her, check back the next day—and keep in mind she’ll only appear out of one of the vents, just once per day. So, if you want to find her, you’ll need to re-check the vents every time you use your Dateviators in a day to try and find Airyn’s gust of air. The vents are located in the downstairs bathroom, living room, dining room, office, upstairs bathroom, bedroom, and workout room. Finding Airyn isn’t super difficult, but it is fully up to chance and random appearances at different vents—so don’t give up if she doesn’t show up right away! Remember: don’t use the Dateviators on the actual vent. Use the Dateviators on the gust of air to talk to Airyn. Using them on the vent will summon Hector instead.
How to Romance Airyn in Date Everything
The key to romancing Airyn is silence. Anytime you get the chance to choose a “...” dialogue option instead of speaking to Airyn, do it! Airyn values silence, so you’ll get the Love ending if you’re as quiet as possible when meeting her. At one point, Airyn will tell you to practice silence and mindfulness some more if you want to impress her; to do that, you’ll need to pick 10 “...” dialogue options with other dateables. If you already picked 10 silence options before talking to Airyn for the first time, you can get her Love ending right away! Just keep choosing the “...” option after she appears, and you’ll be golden.
Airyn Conversation Guide for a Love Ending
First encounterAll you really need to know is that Airyn loves it anytime you pick a “...” (silence) option when meeting with her. However, the first time you find Airyn, depending on your choices thus far, you may not get any silence options at all. If you do get them, choose them all—you can get the Love ending there and then! If you don’t, that’s okay; you’ll be able to charm Airyn later. In the meantime, choose the following options: What? Who are you? (In response to “...”) Okay…? (In response to “...”) What is your deal? (In response to “...”) Damn, that’s cool. (In response to “Every chittering shudder that marks the high and low points of your life.”)
Second encounterIf you got the Love ending right away, you can skip to the final step in this section! Otherwise, in this meeting, Airyn will formally introduce herself—and you’ll get the chance to impress her for the first time. She’ll talk about your tendency to chat with everyone you meet, calling it a “waste of breath.” In this talk, choose the following dialogue options: “...” (In response to: “I notice each time that you choose not to speak, and it gives me solace that there is hope for you.) Is there anything that you are afraid of? or What can you tell me about life? (In response to “I certainly have the time.”) Your next responses differ based on the question you ask Airyn. If you picked the fear question: What would happen if you didn't have the internal rotation? I’m sorry to hear that. If you picked the life question, choose: The more you know… At the end of this conversation, Airyn will give you a major hint by telling you to show her you can be quiet and mindful, even around others. This paves the way for the next step in her romance!
Practicing silenceNext, Airyn will want you to try being quieter, for a change—so rather than talking to her, go and use your Dateviators on other dateable objects, and choose silence options with them! You’ll need to choose at least 10 “...” (silence) options total before going back to Airyn (although you can have another conversation with her in between, if you wish). The easiest way to pick “...” options without feeling like you’re missing out is by speaking with Teddy (the teddy bear in your workout room closet). Have Teddy tell you stories and choose every “...” option while he’s talking. If you meet with Teddy a few times, you can easily rack up 10 silence choices.
Third encounter If you talk to Airyn before you get 10 silence choices with other dateables, she’ll ask you why you’re returning to her. To get through the conversation on track for her Love ending, choose the following options: I was curious as to how you felt about me. Just wanted to see how to get through to you. (In response to: “The practice of mindfulness is its own reward.”) No, I like the way you talk about your own ideas. (In response to: “Do you enjoy gazing at my form? Is that it?”) [Empathy 65] That’s not true. Your perspective is inherently filtered through your own being. (In response to: “These ideas are not my own…”) “...” (In response to: “Hm. I will think on this.”)
Final encounterAfter you have sufficient silence choices logged with other dateables, find Airyn with your Dateviators once again. This is actually the simplest encounter of them all: now, all you have to do is be quiet. Anytime you’re given a dialogue choice, choose the “..” option. After the first response, all of your dialogue options will turn to “...”; just keep picking any of them and maintain the silence to unlock Airyn’s Love ending! Don’t be fooled by the final dialogue choice, in which you can choose between “…” (silence) and “Wait…are you falling in love with me?” Choose “...” again and do not speak. You’ll know you’ve unlocked the Love ending when Airyn draws a heart out of air!
How to Realize Airyn
Gather the necessary stats to realize Airyn. If you want to take your romance into reality by turning Airyn into a human, you’ll need the following stats: 65 Smarts, 100 Poise, and 85 Empathy. Collect those stats as you play by completing other dateables’ storylines as well as Airyn’s. When you’re ready, use the Dateviators to speak to Airyn again! Choose the following options: Airyn, I want to bring you to life. (In response to: “...”) Please? or But even you said you will eventually disperse into nothingness as you are. (In response to: “It would mean unshackling myself from immortality.”) Yes, I do. (In response to: “Do you have the necessary ingredients?”) Skylar will take it from there, and then you’ll be able to get your happy ending with human Airyn!
How to Get Airyn’s Friends or Hate Endings in Date Everything
FriendshipBecoming friends with Airyn is a bit of a balancing act. Don’t insult her, but don’t pick every silence option you get, either. It boils down to speaking in the second and third encounters with her (as well as the first), and not choosing “...” (silence) in conversations. If you do that—politely, of course—you have a good chance of ending up friends with Airyn.
HateGetting Airyn’s Hate ending is really straightforward—so much so that it’s usually pretty obvious which answers will earn Airyn’s wrath. Be as loud as you can (never choose silence) and pick the rudest dialogue options in every encounter with her. Disrupt Airyn’s tranquility, and very quickly, she’ll start to despise you. If you get Airyn’s Hate ending, you’ll also encounter another dateable: Reggie, the personification of rejection.
