IPL 2024: Former CSK All-rounder Scott Styris to Wear RCB Kit on Air After Losing Bet to AB de Villiers - WATCH
Scott Styris was left embarrassed after making a bold bet with AB de Villiers to wear the RCB kit if they managed to win their game against PBKS.

Luck does not seem to favour the former New Zealand all-rounder, Scott Styris as he now has to don the jersey of the side he dislikes, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru after losing out on a bet with AB de Villiers after RCB’s win against the Punjab Kings on Monday.

Before the clash between RCB and PBKS at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Styris was so confident that the home side would go on to lose their second fixture of the season and went on to wager a bet with the former RCB man de Villiers.

He went on to claim that if the Faf du Plessis-led side were to win the game, then Styris would have to wear the RCB kit for all of their upcoming matchday but if they lost, then ABD would have to wear the CSK kit for their respective match days.

Styris has been a supporter of the CSK franchise. He has also played with the Chennai-based franchise during the 2013 season. During pre-match coverage in JioCinema, the former Kiwi all-rounder revealed his dislike for the Bengaluru franchise and also mentioned that he gets a lot of stick, especially on social media for the same which prompted him to put forth the wager.

RCB managed to get the win against PBKS by four wickets and four balls to spare. The home side got their first points of the season with the chase being led by none other than Virat Kohli who top-scored with 77 off 49 deliveries. This was followed by a fine finish by the veteran Dinesh Karthik who hit a maximum and a boundary off the final over bowled by Arshdeep Singh to get the win.
