With the 2024 edition of the IPL inching closer, the joint-most successful side in the history of the tournament, Mumbai Indians, shared a promo of their new drip.

The Mumbai-based side shared a video with the caption, “First Look- Our Stars in Our New Kit’ on their social media handle.

The video features stars of the side including Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah and newly-appointed skipper Hardik Pandya, among others, flaunting the side’s new jersey for the season.

Mumbai managed to rope in Pandya from the Gujarat Titans ahead of the season in a move that stirred up a storm and topped it with an announcement that the 30-year-old all-rounder will replace long-standing skipper Rohit, who has helped the Mumbai side to immense success over the years.

Pandya was part of the Mumbai Indians squad between 2014 and 2021, before making the switch to newly-formed Gujarat Titans in the year 2022.

He shone in his first season as the skipper of the Ahmedabad-based side as he led them to the title in their first-ever bid for the silverware.

He continued his good run by taking the Gujarat side to the final of the following season, only to stumble in the final hurdle as they lost the title to MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings.

Mumbai managed to pick up some incredible bowling talent as they recruited South African pacer Gerald Coetzee, the Sri Lankan seam duo of Nuwan Thushara,  and Dilshan Madushanka.

Afghanistan veteran Mohammad Nabi was also brought into the side to bolster the unit, while Indians Shreyas Gopal, Shivalik Sharma, Anshul Kamboj, Naman Dhir were also picked up by the five-time title winners.

MI will open their season with a clash against GT at Ahmebadab on the 24th of March, in what will be a return for Pandya. Mumbai will continue to be on the road as they fly down to Hyderabad for their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, before playing their first home game of the season against Rajasthan Royals, following which MI will host Delhi Capitals on the 7th of April.
