Yet another fan made his way onto the stadium during yesterday’s clash between the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur for the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League.
During the second innings, a Virat Kohli fan who was sporting the RCB jersey with Kohli’s name on the back made his way onto the ground by going over the fences.

Kohli saw the fan making his way and gave him a hug following which the pitch invader was escorted away from the ground to resume the second innings as scheduled.
This makes it the third instance just in this IPL 2024 season where a fan has found his way past the barriers and security to get onto the ground and meet their idol. The first incident happened during the opening game between RCB and CSK. The second happened during MI’s game against RR.

The veteran has had a phenomenal start to the tournament and has taken a significant lead in the run-scoring charts after scoring 113 off 72 balls to help RCB set a decent target of 184 runs. But his knock was in vain as RR’s Jos Buttler managed to outshine Virat’s knock with a century of his own in 58 deliveries.

While Kohli continues to consistently deliver for the franchise. Questions will be asked about the other batters who have been failing to perform. The skipper Faf du Plessis has struggled to replicate his form from the previous season and so has Glenn Maxwell. Their big-money signing, Cameron Green also struggled to pick up the pace as well.

RR went on to win the game by six wickets and five balls to spare with Buttler scoring a maximum to bring up his century and take the win for the home side. The Royals are currently top of the table with an undefeated record having won all four of their games.
RCB will look ahead for their next game where they take on Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai as part of their third away game of the season.
