The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the class 10 or HSLC results 2024 today, April 20 at 10: 30 am. Students can access their results at results.sebaonline.org. To view the Assam HSLC result, students need to enter their roll number as given on their admit card and other required information.

As per the official notice, Chirang (91.2%), Nalbari (88.1%), and Baksa (86.9%) are the top three best-performing districts. Udalguri is the lowest-performing district with 60.9% of the students passing the exam. Overall, the pass percentage for Assam HSLC stands at 75.70 per cent.
Anurag Doloi from Jorhat has topped the exam by securing 593 marks. The second position has been secured by Jharna Saikia of Biswanath district with 590 marks. Manash Pratim Saikia from Majuli, Bedanta Choudhury from Barpeta, and Devashree Kashyap from Nagaon have secured 588 marks.
While 1,05,873 students have got first division, 6,392 are distinction holders, and 20,552 are star mark holders. As many as 4,19,078 students had appeared for the HSLC exams out of which 1,87,904 were male, 2,31,164 were female and 10 were transgender. The total number of letter mark holders is 193159 students (highest in social science with 36,973 students).
More than four lakh students appeared for the SEBA Assam HSLC examination 2024. It was conducted from February 16 to March 4 in two shifts — the first shift was held from 9 am to noon and the second shift took place from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. All students were given five minutes extra to read the question papers.

Assam HSLC Result 2024: Passing Marks
In order to pass the SEBA HSLC exam 2024, students must secure a minimum of 30 per cent marks in each subject as well as overall. Those who fail in one or two subjects will likely be allowed to appear for the compartment or supplementary exams later. SEBA will announce details about the same along with the results.

Assam HSLC Result 2024: What to Check?
The online Assam SEBA HSLC result 2024 will include the students’ marks and grades, along with their personal information. The printout of the online result will act as a provisional mark sheet. To ensure there is no error, students need to take a printout of their results and check that it is error-free. The basic things to check in the scorecard include personal details, spelling, totaling and percentage calculation, and pass/ fail status.
Assam HSLC Result 2024: Minister Warns Against Fake News
Taking to microblogging site X, the Cabinet Minister for Higher Education, School Education, Tribal Affairs, Government of Assam, Ranoj Pegu has warned students of fake news. “Some miscreants have been spreading rumours by creating fake shots of my X (Twitter) account announcing that the results of HSLC & HS Examination, 2024 will be announced tomorrow on Saturday,” he posted. Only HSLC results are slated to be declared today.

Assam HSLC Result 2024: Previous Year Pass Percentages
A total of 4,15,324 students took the Assam board 10th exams last year. Out of the total 3,01,880 students or 72.69 per cent passed the exam. Hridam Thakuria from Dekhia Juli who studied at Sankar Dev Sisku Niketan topped Assam board Class HSLC exams in 2023. Assam’s Chirang district was the best-performing district with a pass percentage of 88.68 per cent.
The pass percentage in Assam class 10th board in 2022 was 56.49 per cent. In 2021, the pass percentage stood at 93.10 per cent, in 2020, as many as 64.80 per cent of the students passed the exams and in 2019, the pass percentage stood at 60.23 per cent.
