Barmer Girl Secures 499 Out of 500 In Class 12 Board Exams, Ranks 3rd In The State
She aspires to join civil services and that she will be preparing for it along with her graduation.

Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or RBSE released the results of class 12 Science, Commerce, and Arts streams, on May 20 at 12:15 pm. Many students from class 12 have made their way to the meritorious list including Taruna Choudhary from Barmer, Rajasthan. As per Local 18 Rajasthan, Taruna has secured 3rd position with 99.80 per cent marks. She has secured 499 marks out of 500. The marks distribution amongst the different subjects is 100 in Hindi, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 99 in English. The Barmer native said that she aspires to join civil services. She will be preparing for this exam along with her graduation.

Taruna added that her aunt Chandrakala Choudhary has been her source of inspiration. According to the Barmer native, her aunt has encouraged her to perform brilliantly in academics since class 8th. She kept herself motivated due to this guidance and passed class 10th (94 per cent) and 12th (99.80 per cent) with brilliant performance in studies. Taruna’s father Vishnu Choudhary works as a lawyer and his mother Kamla Choudhary is a teacher. Apart from Aunt Chandrakala, Taruna credits her family members and teachers for this academic accomplishment.

Taruna wishes to be the first civil service officer from Barmer because no woman has been able to clear the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination in her city. She looks forward to ending this failure. She also revealed the unfortunate state of women’s education in this city. According to Taruna, women from Barmer have still not received abundant educational opportunities which could have transformed their careers. She feels happy that other women will feel motivated to be a step ahead in education after watching her win. She advised the other aspirants to make judicious use of the smartphone. According to Taruna, students should use smartphones to search solutions for the problems and other knowledge-related material. She remembered studying 6-7 hours to achieve 99.80 marks in class 12th.

This is one of the career-defining moments for the Barmer native as many public representatives have contacted her. They have congratulated Taruna for this achievement.
